LHH|DBM Gulf’s Partner Career
Support Program was developed to support organizations as
they recruit new talent into the Gulf Region. Many new recruits
will be a dual career partner and be relocating with their
family who need to settle into their new environment as
quickly as possible.
The program specifically
provides the transferring partner with career support such
as:
- Job search assistance
- CV support
- Networking advice
- Information on local business and market
trends
The goal is to assist the
individual with finding a new role and to move on with their
career, making the family’s transition easier. Research
on international relocation has found that if a company
ignores the family issues of relocation, it can expect an
average of six months lower productivity by the transferee.
Working with a LHH|DBM Gulf consultant,
the eight-hour program is designed to be flexible and adaptable
to meet individual needs, providing direction, guidance
and support to develop a career plan focusing on:
- Professional career coaching
- Overview of living and working in the
Gulf
- Developing a targeted CV to reflect
key achievements
- Developing a
network, self presentation, and interview techniques
The program provides access
to the DBM Client WebCentre, offering an online library
of support and resources throughout the transition. Also
included is the use of DBM office facilities while working
with a consultant. The partner can also start the program
remotely before moving to the region.
